Hi. I am Kaustubh Sharma, a junior pursuing B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR). My academic and research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning for sciences, mechanistic interpretability and generative AI, specifically diffusion models and large language models.

Some of my recent work spans developing sparse diffusion models for high-energy physics data from CERN , designing methods to prune domain-specific circuits from large language models, and exploring prior-fitted networks for few-shot uncertainty estimation.

I’m also a part of the Data Science Group at IITR. Outside the world of code and equations, I find peace in music. I sing, play the piano, and often turn to music when I need to slow down and think clearly. I also represent my institute in athletics and swimming - which adds a whole different rhythm to life.

If you’re curious about my work, feel free to explore my projects or CV. And if you’d like to collaborate, chat, or want to share a song recommendation - just say hi.
